This period in modern boxing is defined by a return to a clearer and more unified championship system. The idea of one fighter holding all major titles within the same weight division - becoming an “undisputed champion”- regained significant importance.
From 2020 onward, boxers striving to collect all major belts - such as those from the WBA, WBC, IBF, and WBO - have drawn increasing global attention. This trend has made it easier to determine the true leader in each division while boosting fan engagement.
The growing emphasis on undisputed championships has elevated the value of titles and brought greater clarity to competition within weight classes. As a result, modern boxing has shifted its focus from just big names to genuine sporting dominance and the recognition of a single, unified champion.
