The Azerbaijan Boxing Federation was established in 1924 and is the leading organization responsible for the development of boxing in our country. This journey began with the first Azerbaijan National Championship held in 1926 and continues today through the achievements of our national boxers on the world stage.
The Federation’s primary mission is to promote and develop boxing both domestically and internationally. To achieve this, it builds modern infrastructure and places special emphasis on the training and development of coaches and athletes.

No individual training sessions are organized within the Federation. The Federation conducts training for national teams across various age groups — cadets (U-15), juniors (U-17), youth (U-19), and adults (ages 19–40) — who represent Azerbaijan with honor in international arenas.
Each category of the national teams is supported by a dedicated coaching staff. The coaches are responsible for the team’s preparation and for ensuring a high level of performance in competitions.
To enroll in training, applicants should contact the ABF’s regional boxing offices, as well as various clubs and sports organizations. Boxers who achieve strong results in the Azerbaijan Championships may then be selected for national teams based on the head coach’s decision.
Non-citizens of Azerbaijan are not permitted to train with the national teams. However, they are allowed to train individually with private coaches.
Training camps are organized in various countries and cities across Azerbaijan, depending on competition schedules and the decisions of national team coaches for each age group.
