The final bouts of the Boxing World Cup in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, have begun. The first Azerbaijani boxer to step into the ring for a decisive bout was Saidjamshid Jafarov.

Competing in the 75 kg weight category, Jafarov faced Tauan Silva of Brazil. Winning all three rounds, the Azerbaijani boxer secured a dominant 5:0 victory (30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 29:28, 30:27) to claim the gold medal of the World Cup and bring the Azerbaijani national anthem to the arena in Brazil.

It should be noted that later tonight, Subhan Mamedov (50 kg) and Mahammad Abdullayev (+90 kg) will also compete in their respective finals. A day earlier, Nabi Isgandarov (70 kg) earned a bronze medal.
