The Nations Cup for junior boxers has concluded in Vrbas, Serbia. Azerbaijan’s national team, represented by 13 athletes at the international tournament featuring competitors from eight countries, saw every boxer finish on the podium.

Competing under the guidance of Head Coach Vaqif Kazimov, Azerbaijan’s U-17 team claimed gold medals through Rustam Nasibov (50 kg), Ismayil Nasirzade (52 kg), Ali Abasli (60 kg), Vakil Gurbanov (63 kg), Hidayat Mammadov (70 kg), Yusif Agakishiyev (75 kg), and Mehran Rasulov (+80 kg).

Aydin Shahbazov (46 kg), Nihat Mammadli (48 kg), Ali Jamalzade (57 kg), and Shukar Aliyev (80 kg) secured silver medals, while Hasrat Mammadov (46 kg) and Eljan Musazade (54 kg) earned bronze medals.

With a total of seven gold, four silver, and two bronze medals, Azerbaijan topped the overall team standings. Vakil Gurbanov was named the tournament’s Best Foreign Boxer, while Farhad Rahmanov received the award for Best Referee.
