IBA Champions’ Night will take place in Baku on 10 July. The event, to be held for the first time at Sea Breeze Resort, will feature six bouts involving some of the world’s top boxers.

Azerbaijan will be represented in five of the scheduled contests. World champion Subhan Mamedov (47.6 kg) will face Richard Gard (Philippines). World Championships medalists Sarkhan Aliyev (70 kg) and Saidjamshid Jafarov (72.6 kg) will take on Nurtas Azhbenov (Kazakhstan) and Nikolay Veselov (Belarus), respectively.

European Games bronze medalist Tayfur Aliyev (60 kg) will meet Khurshidbek Rasuljonov (Uzbekistan), while World Cup semifinalist Nabi Isgandarov (70 kg) will face Hikmat Garayev (Russia). Each of the Azerbaijani boxers' bouts will consist of six rounds.

In the remaining contest, Cheerav Ashalayev (Russia, 76.2 kg) will square off against Mikhail Dolgolevets (Belarus) in an eight-round bout.

The IBA Champions’ Night is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM.
