Azerbaijani boxer Ali Bakhishov has advanced to the final of the U19 European Championships in Loznica, Serbia. Competing in the 60 kg weight category, Bakhishov faced Turkey’s Furkan Avar in the semifinals.

The Azerbaijani boxer won all three rounds and continued his successful run at the tournament, defeating his opponent 3–2 (28:29, 30:27, 29:28, 30:27, 28:29).

Bakhishov will face Italy’s Daniele Fabi in the final.

In the 48 kg semifinal, Banuchichek Nasirli faced Ireland’s Ellen Joyce. As her opponent advanced to the final, Nasirli concluded her European Championships campaign with a bronze medal.
