The international boxing tournament for athletes under the age of 19, held in Kutaisi, Georgia, has come to an end. Azerbaijan’s national team claimed a total of 12 medals.

Representing Azerbaijan, Banuchichek Nasirli (48 kg), Aylin Nazarova (54 kg), Rza Rzayev (70 kg), and Saftar Mammadzade (+90 kg) defeated all of their opponents to win gold medals. Zahra Mammadova (54 kg), Ali Bakhishov (60 kg), and Shahin Aslanov (65 kg) finished as silver medalists, losing only in the finals.

The team’s bronze medals were won by Ali Aliyev (50 kg), Vusal Khalilov (65 kg), Nijat Imanov (80 kg), Heydar Azmammadov (85 kg), and Mahammad Jafarov (+90 kg).

With a total of 4 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze medals, Azerbaijan finished second in the team standings among 11 participating countries.
