The World Boxing Cup will get underway in Guiyang, China, on June 15. The seven-day tournament will feature the participation of the Azerbaijani national team.

Head coach of the men's national team, Ravshan Khojayev, has selected Subhan Mammadov (50 kg), Amin Mammadzade (55 kg), Mahammadali Ashiraliyev (60 kg), Malik Hasanov (65 kg), Nabi Isgandarov (70 kg), Saidjamshid Jafarov (75 kg), Murad Allahverdiyev (80 kg), and Alfonso Dominguez (90 kg) to compete in the ranking event.

Currently holding a training camp in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan's boxers will travel directly to Guiyang from Kazakhstan. The official draw for the World Boxing Cup will take place on June 14.

It should be noted that Azerbaijan claimed three gold medals and one bronze medal at the first World Boxing Cup of the year, held in Brazil.
