The next regional championship among schoolboy boxers (U-15) officially started today. Following the tournament held in Lankaran, teams have now begun competing in Sheki.
The second championship of the year, organized to promote and develop boxing in cities, districts, settlements, and villages, as well as to identify promising athletes, is being held at the Sheki Olympic Sports Complex. Over the course of four days, 185 boxers representing 37 teams will test their strength. Athletes competing across 18 weight categories will earn qualification spots for the final stage of the U-15 championship, which will take place in Shamakhi.
It should be noted that 200 boxers from 38 teams competed in the regional championship held in Sheki, where the coaching staff identified the athletes who qualified for the final stage.
