In 1926, the first Azerbaijan Boxing Championship was held, marking a new stage in the national boxing history. The competition demonstrated the emergence of strong local boxers and became a tangible result of the Federation’s work. It further defined the direction of boxing development in the country and increased interest in competitions nationwide.
That same year, Azerbaijan’s top boxers competed in the Transcaucasian Championship and emerged victorious, proving their high level of preparation.
