1992 — INTERNATIONAL MEMBERSHIP AND FIRST MAJOR SUCCESS
In 1992, the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation became a full member of the International Boxing Association (AIBA) and the European Amateur Boxing Association. This marked its official integration into the international boxing community.
That same year, Adalat Mammadov won a gold medal at the European Junior Championships in Edinburgh, Scotland. This achievement became one of the first major successes of Azerbaijani boxing in the independence era and significantly boosted interest in the sport nationwide.
The year 1992 stands out as a milestone both organizationally and competitively.
