2025 — MEMBERSHİP İN WORLD BOXİNG AND EUROPEAN BOXİNG
In 2025, the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation joined World Boxing and formalized its full membership within European Boxing.
This step marked a new phase in the Federation’s international presence, enabling more active representation of Azerbaijani boxing in the global sports arena. It also strengthened international relations and opened new competitive opportunities for athletes.

2025 — HİSTORİC GOLD MEDAL İN DUBAİ
In December 2025, at the World Championship held in Dubai, Azerbaijani boxer Subhan Mammadov delivered an outstanding performance. On his path to the final, he defeated opponents from the Philippines, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Georgia.
In the decisive bout, Mammadov triumphed over Russian representative Edmond Khudoyan, who was 10 years his senior. This victory earned him the gold medal at the World Championship.
With this achievement, Subhan Mammadov became the youngest world champion in the history of Azerbaijani boxing. His success made 2025 one of the most memorable years for Azerbaijani boxing.
